The client is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer for their Chemical Cell Production.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and manages supplier quality systems for Plant Spartanburg's purchased parts (worldwide).
  • Develops and approves new supplier's quality and production systems to ensure that OEMs purchased parts meet product specifications.
  • Integral part of new product launches including both supplier and parts development for manufacturing.
  • Leads launch projects after hand over to Supplier Quality Assurance ensuring compliance with organisational specifications.
  • Supports the Module Quality Engineer(s) in advanced quality planning activities such as risk assessment, product and process development.
  • Communicates with other company Plants in the worldwide OEM Network including joint problem solving.
  • Executes the process series before Start of Production (SOP) with the suppliers (world-wide).
  • Manages the Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) releases for assigned products.

Your profile:

  • Masters and/or Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality
  • Advanced practical experience with Chemical Cell Production for Lithium-Ion Battery Cells
  • Knowledge and experience with relevant Automotive and Quality standards and tools: VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, 8D, Ishikawa
  • Knowledge of various ingredients and measurements required to create the Cell
  • Ability to travel world-wide
  • Fluent English speaker
