Embedded Software Engineer

6/12 month contract followed by perm

Based 1 hour from Oslo (remote until end of year)

My client is a technology company in Norway, focusing on the creation of products from medical displays, all the way through to Image processing and projectors. Seeing beyond the image, they develop sight, sound, and sharing solutions, with a focus on Enterprise, Health-care and Entertainment.They are currently looking to hire Embedded Software Engineer to either our R&D Software team. The R&D Team designs and develops world-class, high-resolution projectors used for pilot, naval or ground simulated training, amusement rides and attractions, concerts and events or high-end home cinema. As Embedded Software Engineer you will be part of a global team of talented engineers designing and developing the next generation of visualization products.

Key responsibilities

• Responsibility for developing software to support projectors in our various strategic markets like Simulation & Training, High-End Residential, Virtual & Augmented Reality, Events and more
• Using C++11/14/17 as your programming language

• Ensuring high quality, on-time software deliveries, including test scripts
• Following internal and best practice coding standards
• Supporting and enabling Agile practices in SW developments
• Work in multinational teams geographically distributed (Norway, Belgium, India)

Technical Profile

You have a MSc or BSc relevant to software/electronics development, and:

• You are used to working in a Linux environment
• You have software development skills in C++11/14/17
• You are familiar with the GNU tool-chain
• Experience with GIT is a plus

• Experience with Python is a plus
• Have a good mastery of Object-oriented thinking/development
• Minimum 5 years professional experience
