What is your hiring strategy for 2017 looking like? Will you be up with the industry leaders and start the New Year on the right foot?

The best of the best are already strategically planning their hires for 2017 and for good reason:

1. Be the first to secure quality candidates looking for a new role
It’s no secret that many candidates will have an idea of where they want to go and their (potential) next position in mind before the end of the year. So why not take advantage and get to them before your competitors do? The more time that is left, the more likely they will have spoken to a competitor and as many hiring managers will know, having that first communication can be instrumental in securing desired quality candidates.

2. Train and integrate your new hires before the New Year
Given the holiday season can often mean one of 2 things: 1. A slowdown of business meaning your team will have time to train and make new hires feel like part of the team OR 2. A massive ramp up of business meaning new hires can get some ‘hands on’ experience and lighten the load for long term employees over the period.

3. Start the New Year on new business rather than on hiring
If you’ve hired your team for the beginning of the year, what are you going to focus on when the year begins? Doing business and winning new business. Once you’ve hired the team you need, you can focus on what you do best.

4. Hit the ground running in 2017
Putting additional focus on hiring before the holiday season can really give you and your company an edge and the opportunity to take advantage of new starters integrated in the business to do more business.

If you’re thinking about your planning and hiring strategy for the year ahead, now is the time to get a head start on the competition, the impact can having a lasting impression on your results for the whole year.
This is where we come in.
