The Opportunity
We are representing a global financial institution seeking a Software Engineering Development Lead to act as a strategic "Force Multiplier" across their Post-Trade Technology stack. This is a rare hybrid leadership role: you will manage a large-scale engineering cohort (20+) while remaining hands-on with architectural standards and high-level code reviews.
This role is specifically designed for a leader who can bridge the gap between technical delivery and business strategy, providing data-driven reporting to the CIO to ensure the team is operating at peak efficiency.
Core Responsibilities

Executive Liaison: Partner directly with the CIO to provide transparent, data-backed reports on team velocity, system reliability, and delivery milestones.

Engineering Excellence: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of 20+ developers. Identify SDLC bottlenecks and implement strategies to improve team output.

Technical Oversight: Lead high-level code reviews and architectural audits across a .NET Core, Python, and SQL Server stack.

Domain Integration: Collaborate with Front-Office trading desks to deliver technical solutions for Risk and Settlement platforms.

Cloud & DevOps: Oversee the continued preparation and migration of the tech stack toward Azure hybrid-cloud technologies.
The Ideal Profile

Tier-1 Banking Background: Deep experience in a global banking or high-growth financial environment is essential.

Large-Scale Management: Proven track record of managing engineering teams of 20+ heads.

Functional Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Risk, Settlements, and Trade Life-cycle(sitting with the desk is a significant advantage).
