Focus: End-to-End Cybersecurity Solution Design (AWS Environment)
The Opportunity
We are looking for a high-caliber Security Architect to join a high-profile Strategic Security Programme for a UK financial services regulator. This isn't just a "maintenance" role—you will be responsible for the full architectural lifecycle of mission-critical cybersecurity projects, from initial scoping and mobilization through to benefit delivery.
Sitting within the Enterprise Architecture Consulting function, you will act as a bridge between high-level strategy and technical execution, ensuring that 50,000+ regulated firms operate in a secure, stable, and fair environment.
What You’ll Be Doing

End-to-End Design: Producing architectural artefacts ranging from high-level outlines to detailed solution designs, ensuring integration across a multi-technology landscape.

Strategic Governance: Quality assuring deliverables from external suppliers and internal product teams to ensure they align with the 3-year organizational strategy.

Technical Leadership: Guiding project teams through "technical do-ability" issues and driving the resolution of complex interdependencies.

Innovation: Performing gap and maturity assessments to identify where technology-driven innovation (AI, Automation, etc.) can provide "quick wins" within the product roadmap.

Security Domains: Leading solutions across IAM, Threat Detection & Response, Attack Surface Management, and Information Integrity.
The Profile
We need a collaborative self-starter who can navigate "imperfect information" and thrive in an environment of uncertainty without compromising on standards.
Must-Haves (Minimum Criteria):

Proven Track Record: Extensive experience as a Security Architect on multiple large-scale programs.

End-to-End Lifecycle: Experience managing the full delivery of multi-platform cyber solutions.

Technical Stack: Hands-on experience with AWS technologies and best-practice security architecture.

Frameworks: Solid understanding of TOGAF and UML(Unified Modeling Language).

Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, or equivalent evidenced knowledge foundation.
Preferred Expertise:

Commercial Acumen: Experience costing solution options and navigating procurement frameworks.

Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills—the ability to negotiate complex designs with both technical engineers and C-suite regulators.

Methodology: Comfortable working within Agile environments and using formal architecture modeling tools.
