Senior Manager – Lean Portfolio Management
- Lead the day-to-day Lean Portfolio Management practices across Business Banking Labs, driving consistency, adoption of best practice, and effective ways of working across portfolios.
- Act as a hands-on LPM partner to Lab leadership teams, providing guidance, challenge, and support to ensure strategic priorities are translated into executable delivery plans.
- Own and facilitate core L1 Portfolio events, including Intake Review, Backlog Refinement, Portfolio Sync, and Strategic Portfolio Reviews, ensuring effective governance, prioritisation, and decision-making.
- Partner closely with Chris Tym and the Portfolio Operations team in a "2-in-a-box" model to support portfolio prioritisation, PI Planning, dependency management, and Stand-up of Stand-ups governance.
- Build a strong understanding of portfolio delivery, risks, dependencies, and outcomes, proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery.
- Drive focus on key customer journeys and strategic outcomes, ensuring delivery teams remain aligned to business priorities and customer needs.
- Provide meaningful portfolio insight, reporting, and recommendations to senior stakeholders, enabling informed investment and prioritisation decisions.
- Support the continuous improvement of Lean Portfolio Management processes, governance, and operating models, embedding a culture of transparency, accountability, and delivery excellence.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Product, Technology, and Business leaders, helping teams navigate complexity and deliver against Business Banking objectives.
This role would suit an experienced Lean Portfolio Manager or Senior Manager with strong SAFe/LPM experience who is comfortable operating hands-on within portfolio delivery, governance, prioritisation, and stakeholder management across a complex banking environment.
