Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a GCP DevOps / AI SME to support a high-profile client in the financial services sector. This is a hybrid contract role based in London, offering up to £550 per day Outside IR35.
The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and supporting the deployment of AI/ML solutions using Vertex AI or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, scalable infrastructure on GCP
- Lead the deployment and operationalisation of AI/ML models
- Act as the technical SME for AI initiatives on GCP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with AI strategy
- Provide consultative input to stakeholders and technical teams
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in GCP infrastructure design and DevOps practices
- Hands-on experience with Vertex AI or similar AI/ML deployment tools
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and Kubernetes/GKE
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work consultatively and independently in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Experience in banking or financial services
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance in cloud-based AI solutions
