Position Overview

We are seeking a highly detail‑oriented and experienced VP‑level Technical Systems Analyst to support the analysis and implementation of a new enterprise data platform with a focus on Risk and ESG reporting.

The successful candidate will bring 5 + years of experience in business and systems analysis within banking or financial services, with strong capability across technical requirements definition, data architecture, and database‑driven solution design. This role will play a critical part in supporting regulatory and ESG‑driven data initiatives in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the technical implementation of ESG reporting solutions, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
  • Gather, analyse, and document technical and non‑functional requirements, translating system constraints and architectural considerations into Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs) or equivalent specifications.
  • Partner closely with Business, Risk, Compliance, Sustainability, Data Governance, and IT delivery teams to support end‑to‑end solution design and execution.
  • Facilitate IT delivery activities including solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment, working with both internal teams and external vendors.
  • Drive cross‑functional stakeholder alignment, ensuring clear scope definition, technical feasibility, and delivery accountability.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory obligations and internal policies relating to ESG, data governance, and risk management.
  • Define, document, and maintain data lineage across upstream and downstream systems for critical datasets.
  • Contribute to database design, including schema development, normalization, optimisation, and performance considerations.
  • Produce and review conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to define data pipelines, integration patterns, and metadata structures.
  • Ensure alignment with data‑architecture principles, BCBS239 data‑quality expectations, and strong data‑management practices.
  • Develop and maintain ERDs, data dictionaries, and supporting documentation.
  • Support the implementation of lineage tooling, metadata repositories, and structured data‑governance workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in business or systems analysis, preferably within banking or financial services.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, data modelling, and database design.
  • Strong understanding of technical and non‑functional requirements, including performance, security, scalability, and resilience.
  • Experience with interface specifications, data mapping, and integration design.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
  • Experience working closely with product owners, data engineers, and QA teams in delivery environments.
  • Strong experience within Agile / Scrum teams, including writing user stories.
  • Hands‑on experience with data profiling and data validation activities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, particularly in ESG‑related contexts.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to management information (MI) and analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Azure‑based data platforms, including Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
  • Knowledge of external emissions and environmental data providers.
  • Strong understanding of modern data platforms and enterprise IT frameworks.
  • Experience working within BCBS239‑aligned environments.
  • Understanding of regulatory ESG and sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and SQL.
  • Experience across both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • High levels of resilience, adaptability, and professionalism in high‑pressure environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Advanced qualifications or certifications such as CBAP, PMI‑PBA, or CTPRA are advantageous.
