An expanding organisation active in digital infrastructure, geodata, engineering, and surveying, with several operating companies and steady growth through both expansion and acquisitions, are now looking for a COO to help shape and scale their group‑wide operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop a unified operating model that supports growth across all subsidiaries
- Align and streamline processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Oversee daily operations across multiple business units
- Build and refine a group‑wide organisational structure that supports scale
- Introduce operational standards, governance frameworks, and KPI systems
- Ensure strong project execution and customer satisfaction
- Work closely with central functions (HR, Finance, IT, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Controlling)
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and cross‑group collaboration
- Guide the integration of newly acquired companies into existing structures
- Manage annual planning, resource allocation, and operational forecasting
- Identify risks early and implement preventative measures
- Promote a culture of clarity, accountability, and high performance
Your Profile
- Proven experience as COO, Managing Director, or senior operational leader
- Background in technology‑driven or engineering‑focused companies including rail, transport infrastructure, surveying or construction
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale operational systems and structures
- Strong understanding of operations in project‑driven environments
- Experience leading decentralised or multi‑location teams
- Fluent in German
- Beneficial: experience managing post‑acquisition integration
