Software Engineer (Java based test framework)

Initial 12 month contract + extensions

Remote Working / Dresden, Germany (first 2 weeks onsite in Dresden for ramp up, one day per week onsite after this)

Our client is a global semiconductor company creating solutions that enable secure connections for a smarter world.

One focused market is audio and radio system solution on System-On-Chip. In order to validate the software-based radio processing on the automotive quality level, our client is using a proprietary Java based test framework.

Mission:

- Review of test case specification
- Implementation of test cases
- Execution of test plan
- Evaluation of test results
- Report of deviations
- Provide analysis information in collaboration with development department
- Validation of product modifications
- Contribute to product documentation
- Use and extend existing test bench based on Java

Profile:

Must Have:
- Programming skills: Java >5 years
- Knowledge of Git as SCM system
- Knowledge of agile techniques (SAFe)
- Knowledge of pull request workflow using Bitbucket
- Knowledge of Jira issue management
- Able to read/understand a mobile communication standard (e.g. LTE, DAB, HD Radio, WLAN)
- Understanding of test framework (trace tools, test/measurement equipment, test specification/requirements/methodology)
- Problem solving skills
- Fluent in English
- Team player

Nice To Have:
- Fluent in German
- Digital radio domain knowledge (DAB)
- Experience with Maven
- Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE
- Experience with TestLink (Test management tool)
- NoSQL knowledge (Couchbase database)
