Smart Mobility Standard Industry Development Expert

Initial 12 month freelance contract + extensions

Remote working from Europe, once per month travel to Leuven, Belgium

Responsible for CCAM-related standard industry work and insight and management of EU/national projects.

Job Requirements Overview:
This position requires a deep understanding of the smart mobility field in the European Union and major European countries, including policies related to intelligent connected vehicles. The ideal candidate should have substantial industry experience in this field and a keen insight into the overall development trends of the automotive industry.
The primary focus of this position is to build the ecosystem for smart mobility in Europe. This includes participation in CCAM series meetings, extensive engagement with industry partners, and internal coordination with relevant product lines to encourage active involvement in CCAM-related EU and national projects, along with project follow-up and management.

Detailed Responsibilities:
Lead our client's strategic planning in the CCAM ecosystem, establish communication with European and domestic related product lines and research teams, formulate CCAM participation strategies, and drive their execution.
Lead and coordinate with industry partners (vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, etc.), government agencies, and research institutions.
Participate in CCAM-related industry and academic conferences, closely monitor the industry and technology trends in the smart mobility field, including intelligent connected vehicles, write insightful reports, and provide feedback to product and research teams.
Collaborate with related departments within our client according to the operation mechanism of EU and national projects, organize applications for CCAM-related EU and national projects, and be responsible for project management and progress reporting upon winning the projects.
Monitor policies and regulations related to smart mobility in the EU and various European countries, and provide insights.
Actively explore new business opportunities, research resources, and partners in the European smart mobility field.

Qualifications and skills requirements:
Profound expertise in the field of smart mobility, including automotive perception and decision-making technologies, automotive safety technologies, vehicle-to-vehicle communication infrastructure, etc.
Strong experience in standard organizational operations and industry ecosystem development.
Ability to understand business needs for product development and research and translate them into technical requirements for standardization and product development.
Adaptability to a multicultural work environment and strong interpersonal communication skills.
A master's or doctoral degree in engineering, automotive, computer science, or related fields.
