Senior Software Developer

6-12 month initial contact followed by permanent employment.

Location: Stavanger, Norway

My client is one of the leading medical technology companies in Norway. They are looking for a senior software developer focusing on software modularization. You will take ownership of in-house libraries and be responsible for maintaining and keeping your libraries relevant throughout their lifetime.

Responsibilities

  • Develop key features in a sustainable manner
  • Identify, reproduce and fix bugs, and suggest improvements as applicable
  • Test the library´s features by developing sample applications
  • Document the library's features
  • Know every part of the library and be able to explain and justify their existence
  • Be able to implement features
  • Provide support to other teams using your libraries
  • Review Pull Requests from other teams

Experience

  • 5+ years of software development, with knowledge of object-oriented languages such as C#, Xamarin, Kotlin, Swift, Flutter, React-Native.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks is a plus, with React, AngularJS, and HTML5.
  • It is beneficial to be familiar with automation testing and have Knowledge of web and dev-ops technologies would be beneficial for future team expansion.
  • Have a team spirit able to collaborate with fellow team members to solve problems as they arise.
  • Be responsible and have a sense of ownership regarding the software tasks and produced code.
  • Be proactive and curious to learn and explore new technologies.
  • Self-driven and capable of analysing code to find and correct inaccuracies.
