JS/TS back-end developer (node.js/Azure) (temporary assignment)

3 month contract (extendable)

Our client are looking for temporary software development reinforcement for its Public Health cluster. The person will join for at least 3 months to help develop JS/TS based solutions to process, store & visualize health data.

The assignment
A suitable candidate has at least 5 years of proven software engineering experience in an Agile/scrum environment and specializes in development of "full-stack" Web application and data processing back-ends using Javascript/TypeScript, node.js and React. Experience with the Azure ecosystem, Python and data visualization frameworks is a bonus. The selected candidate will join a closely collaborating Scrum team working on health data collection and processing applications and back-ends.

Required knowledge and skills
· We are looking for a Medior/Senior profile (>3 years of proven experience)
· JavaScript/TypeScript developer with a focus on (Azure) cloud-deployed back-ends.
· Python knowledge is a big plus.
· Experience of implementation of node.js back-ends (JavaScript/TypeScript)
· Azure "basics" (Blob storage, event hubs, etc.)
· Azure Functions (node.js)
· PostgreSQL
· Proficient in English, and (notions) in Dutch (speaking/writing)

Additional "nice to haves"
· Python
· Experience with data visualization frameworks/libraries (Web-based)
· React
· Familiar with Scrum process
