ConSol Partners’ London office welcomed a small focus group of Agile experts, tech gurus and Scrum Masters through its doors on Tuesday 6th October for a Meetup entitled ‘Predictability is not only a technology problem’.
The Meetup, organised by Frank Amankwah, Software Development Manager at Amazon, and led by Agile Consultant, Brett Ansley, focused primarily on the implications of lacking predictability, how to ensure consistency across teams and how to mobilise other affected business units to collaborate to tackle the issue. The evening got off to a vibrant start, with networking and refreshments providing an opportunity for attendees to break the ice and refuel after a working day, before Brett took the reins to lead a fascinating and collaborative roundtable session and a Q&A to end.
Brett delivered some key Agile lessons, two of which being that it is teams, not individuals, who deliver the most consistent value, and that predictability flourishes best in a stable team-focused environment.

Theory doesn’t always match reality, so it’s good to know how others have been dealing with the transition to an Agile environment and learn from them. It is not the first time that ConSol Partners’ offices have facilitated tech Meetups with industry experts and leaders; June and July saw Javascript Meetups in ConSol Partners’ offices in both Los Angeles and London respectively.
